They changed map sizes inhouse, it broke savegames. Yet Frontier has done jack sqaut about map size and I doubt they will with how things have been going thus far. The maps are to damn small and this has been said time and time again by the fanbase for this game.

This is sort of a unspoken agreement with modders for games. I mean heck just look at Cities Skylines (which is a great game btw) and look how almost every update breaks mods. What kind of cop out joke is this? Modders have always had to deal with this, even with games that DO support Mods. "what we don’t want is the game going in multiple directions and we can’t touch the code – because then you would trash all the mods." Everybody should know, that this would be the absolute money maker DLC! I can imagine an original JP DLC with new buildings, dinosaurs (+ JP dino skins), missions, and a bigger more accurate Isla Nublar. So far Frontier hears the players and delivers changes to their own design choices (best examples: Day/Night cycle, dinosaur sizes). I still hope for bigger islands, especially Isla Nublar (in its original shape). But the borders seems really just to be that: Artificial borders, which can be removed, to allow building on the rest of the map. Maybe it's a problem with the game engine, and/or it was a design choice to limit the players building space, and/or it's very hard to change the islands retroactively. So apparently the exact thing happened, which is kinda interesting. And i dont know if the creator even offers a download for it.īestInSlot said that this mod could go too far, and he would be happy to take down his video about it, if it goes against Frontier. I think he said that he found out about the whole thing on reddit, but don't quote me on that.
